Mis-Conceptions about Weight Loss

Mis-Conception No.1 :-  Weight lifting and other voilent exercises will make you ugly muscle woman

Truth                          :- Weight lifting, situps and other sports assist to lose weight and build muscle. Muscle
                                      tends to consume more calories than fat which means increase in metabolisum.

Tips                           :-  Doint these type of exercises two to three time a week is very good.

Mis-Conception No.2:-   Fat rich diary products are harmful to health

Truth                          :- Low-fat or skimmed, yoghurt and cheese are rich in nutirents as in whole milk but
                                     contain less fat and calories.  They are rich in protien, calcium as well as Vitamin D
                                     which are benifitial for muscle and bone health.
Tip                             :- If your age is between 9-18yrs or above 50yrs you should take three servings of
                                    diary products.
Mis-Conception No.3:- Low starch and high protien food structure is conductive to weight

Truth                         :- This may cause nutritional imbalance.  Daily intake of less than 130gms starch
                                    increase blood ketone concentration and results in high uric acid levels causing
                                    kidney stones and gaut.
Tips                           :-  Diet should be balanced and must include all nutirents even including carbs & fats.

Mis-Conception No.4:- low Cholesterol or Low fat food or food with no far are low in calories

Truth                         :- Low fat food does contain lower quality of calories than those contained in high fat
                                    food.  but there may be rich in sugar content or stach which may be converted into
                                    fat in body.
Tips                           :- Before buying food, check the ingridents list and calories count on the lable of the
                                    tined or packed food.
